Litigation and Arbitration
Larrain y Asociados has a team of partners and associates exclusively dedicated to the defense of interests and rights of its clients in trials followed before the different courts of the country. We have mediated in important commercial, civil, labour, bankruptcy, taxation and contentious-administrative litigations, as well as in exercise of constitutional actions.
In addition, the firm has experience in litigations related to the construction of public and private works, concessions, mining, electrical sector, infrastructure, distribution contracts and others.
The increase in national and international arbitrations, has allowed us to achieve great experience in arbitration proceedings negotiated before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago (CAM Santiago) and Arbitration Commissions of Public Works Concessions Law. Likewise, we advise and represent our clients in conciliation procedures and alternative controversy and resolution mechanisms of mediation.

Recently we represent Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO), over the property of a strategic land and Consorcio Aeródromo de Chiloé in a lawsuit due to cost overruns incurred during the construction of an airport.
Due to our expertise in sectors such as energy, water, sanitation and public services, we are expanding the scope of our work with the development of a consumer area to specifically act on cases brought by SERNAC (the consumer agency in Chile). Highlights include representing Grupo SAESA and assisting San Sebastián Inmobiliaria S.A., a company dedicated to home leasing.
