Cristóbal Morandé joined Larrain y Asociados in 2004 and has been a partner since 2017. His main practice areas are regulated services and natural resources, energy law, project financing, commercial and corporate laws, and mergers and acquisitions.

He studied law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (LL.B.) and was admitted in 2005. He obtained an Economic Administrative Law Degree with mention in Natural Resources and Public Services from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2006) and in 2009 he obtained a Master of Law (LL.M.) in International Business and Economic Law from the University of Georgetown, USA.

During 2014 he worked as a foreign associate at Mayer Brown LLP, in Houston, USA.

He has been Assistant Professor of Civil Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, (2006-2008) and of Economic Law at the Universidad de los Andes (2006-2008).

He is co-author of the Chilean chapter of the “Global Renewable Energy Guide” (2017 and 2018), published by Cakmak Publishing.
